Program FAQs

  1. Are we able to check on the progress of our charge nurses within the system itself?
    • No, you will not be able to enter the system and check on your charge nurses' progress. They will be able to print a progress report and bring it to you.

  2. If a charge nurse leaves before finishing the program, can we reuse that license?
    • No, if a charge nurse starts the course, the license has been considered fully used whether the course is completed or not.

  3. Is there a time limit to complete the course?
    • The learner has until the con ed expiration date (September 30, 2017) to fully complete the course. It is recommended that they complete a module in one sitting instead of trying to pick up where they left off in the middle of a module.

  4. Can the course be viewed outside of work?
    • Yes, the course can be completed at work or at home. We recommend viewing the course on a desktop or laptop using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox as your browser over Internet Explorer. If the learner wants to view the program on a tablet, it may prompt you to download an app before viewing - we recommend that you do so.

  5. What are the system requirements?
    • It is best that learners use a browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox and keep them current with any updates. Also, it is important that the java and flash player be current as well.
      • Please note: If learners are viewing the course within their facility or organization, make sure that the system's firewall won't block their access. Talk with the IT department to see what steps need to be taken to allow learners access to the course.

  6. Can the course be completed offline?
    • No, internet is required to complete the course.

  7. How much time does it take to complete the whole program?
    • The course is 11.75 contact hours, so it will take around 11-12 hours to complete the whole program.

  8. We orient 50 charge nurses annually, but we only have 30 on staff right now. Can I purchase more licenses than I need at this time?
    • Yes! You can purchase as many licenses as you need and we will provide generic login information for any licenses that do not have a specific name and email address attached to them. Please note that when the time comes for you to use the generic login information, you must contact ANPD and provide the name and email address for the license being used. If you do not complete this step, the learner will not have access to the course.

  9. Who do we contact with questions about the program or technical issues?
    • You can contact the National Office at 312-321-5135 or info@anpd.org
